My research revolves around noncommutative generalizations of real algebra and real algebraic geometry, including:

- ordered algebras and algebras with involution,
- representation theory,
- obstructions to orderability,
- semidefinite programming,
- quadratic and hermitian forms, forms of higher level,
- noncommutative valuation theory.
