Povzetek: This paper introduces cognitive diagnostic assessment via Bayesian evaluation of informative hypotheses. The point of departure is given by the responses of one person to a set of items that are constructed to assess a person's cognitive state. Using the four psychometric perspectives for diagnostic testing discussed by Borsboom (2008), it will be shown that informative hypotheses allow a flexible way to formalize cognitive states. Subsequently, it will be shown how the Bayes factor can be used to evaluate the hypotheses of interest. The approach proposed will be evaluated and illustrated.
