1339. sredin seminar: Vladimir Batagelj: Bibliographic units identification problem, part 3
Bibliographic units identification problem, part 3
Some time ago, Nataliya Matveeva sent me data on the publications of young universities obtained from Scopus. I was pleasantly surprised to notice that several types of bibliographic units in Scopus have identifiers associated with them. This makes Scopus an interesting resource for building bibliographic networks. In the first part of the seminar, we will look at what Scopus has to offer and some interesting observations from Nataliya's data.
We will also look at some additional resources on the web that may come in handy in solving the problem of identifying bibliographic units.
If time permits, we will finally show that the presence of multi-person units in networks does not affect the relationships between single-person (correctly identified) units in derived networks.
