The discussion focuses on polynomial geometric interpolation of data points in R^d. This method employs an implicit curve parametrization that depends solely on the data positions. The talk derives simple geometric conditions that guarantee the existence of the interpolating curve. In doing so, the Höllig-Koch conjecture on the curve’s existence and its approximation order is positively addressed, for any polynomial degree, and in any dimension.
