Vladimir Batagelj, Anuška Ferligoj and Oštro: Event sequence analysis

Last year in mid-November, we were contacted by the Center for Investigative Journalism Oštro, asking if we could advise them on the analysis of data on members of the current Slovenian government and parliamentarians. Oštro collected the CVs of all the mentioned politicians. We found the dataset interesting and tried to analyze it. The first results are available in the Zvezoskop.

CVs are a special case of event sequence data. In the first part of the seminar we will make an overview of the basics of the event sequence analysis. In the second part we will present the co-presence network analysis approach that we applied to the given dataset.
