1353. sredin seminar: Tomaž Pisanski: Open Science and Goodhart's Law - Some Ethical Issues

Goodhart's Law which states: If a measure becomes a target it ceases to be a good measure is universal and applies to all aspects of human behaviour. In particular, it applies to assessment of scientific production using various metrics. In this talk we point out some ethical issues that result in ignorance or misuse of Goodhart' Law in Open Science.

The seminar is based on contribution Open Science and Goodhart's Law by TP, Vladimir Batagelj and Jan Pisanski at the IS 2024 Multiconference (B) 20--23.
