Prof. Dr. Yalin Lu (USTC, Hefei): Introduction to Scientific Infrastructures in the Hefei Area

The city of Hefei hosts a large number of scientific facilities, such as the synchrotron radiation light source, the institute of plasma physics with its tokamak EAST (which holds the world record in fusion plasma duration) and the USTC, which is among the top five Universities in China.
In the presentation the following topics will be covered:
1. Overview of Existing Scientific Infrastructures in the city of Hefei and its surrounding
2. Compact Infrared and Terahertz FELs (near field imaging: from microwave to terahertz)
