Delavnica: Software Tools for Mathematics (naslednji teden!)

Naslednji teden (1.-5. september) bo na Oddelku za matematiko potekala delavnica Software Tools for Mathematics na temo programskih orodij za matematiko. Cilj delavnice je predstaviti nabor računalniških orodij, ki lahko podprejo matematično delo v raziskovanju in poučevanju. Program bo vključeval več samostojnih kratkih tečajev in vabljenih predavanj.

Udeležite se lahko tistih delavnic, ki vas zanimajo, vendar vas prosimo, da se zaradi organizacije odmorov za kavo prijavite (udeležba je brezplačna). Verjamemo, da bo vsak od vas našel nekaj koristnega zase.

Delavnica je namenjena, predvsem študentom magistrskega in doktorskega programa, dobrodošli pa so tudi dodiplomski študenti ter zaposleni na fakulteti. Predhodno znanje programiranja ali napredno matematično znanje ni potrebno. Program je večinoma praktično naravnan, zato s seboj prinesite prenosnik.

Next week, the Department of Mathematics will host the Software Tools for Mathematics workshop. The aim of the workshop is to present a range of computational tools that can support mathematical work in research and teaching. The program will include several independent short courses and invited talks.

You are welcome to attend only the sessions that interest you, but please register so we can organize the coffee breaks (attendance is free). We believe each of you will find something useful.

The workshop is intended primarily for master’s and doctoral students; undergraduate students and faculty/staff are also warmly invited. No prior programming or advanced mathematical knowledge is required. The program is mostly hands-on, so please bring a laptop.
