The organizers of the Algebraic Graph Theory International Webinar would like to wish you happy, healthy and successful 2022.

We kick off our webinar series for this year on January 4, 2022, at 7pm Central European Time (= 6pm UTC) with Domenico Catalano.

Title: Which simple groups are automorphism groups of chiral maps (or not).

Abstract: During and after the classification of finite simple groups, many papers of many authors appear giving geometric and algebraic characterizations of them. In this talk, we focus our attention (and interest) in the relation of finite simple groups with maps, restricting us to regular maps and regular oriented maps (orientably-regular maps).

Further details may be found at http://euler.doa.fmph.uniba.sk/AGTIW.html where you can also find the slides and the recordings of our previous presentations. Also, if you wish to advertise an AGT friendly conference on this page, please send us the link.

Hoping to see you at the webinar, and wishing you all the best.
