João Pita Costa: A Categorical Perspective on Skew Lattices. 

Abstract:

A skew lattice is a noncommutative associative analogue of a lattice and as such may be viewed as an algebraic object. In fact, the class of skew lattices forms an algebraic category with several interesting properties. In this talk we are going to look at skew lattices in the perspective of the category theory that provides us an overview of its basic

structure. They model an algebraic theory in Set where the congruence D is used to define an important adjuction to Lat.
