Origin of Neutrino Mass and Large Hadron Collider

Prof. Goran Senjanović, Abdus Salam ICTP, Trst

Are neutrinos truly neutral particles as Majorana had envisioned? I argue that the answer is yes as suggested by a Left-Right symmetric theory that sheds light on a mystery of parity violation in weak interactions. The experimental signatures could be spectacular:  neutrino-less double beta decay and the appearance of two electrons out of `nothing' at a Large Hadron Collider (LHC). I discuss at length these and other issues related to the nature of neutrino mass.
