How much do we know about earthquakes in the area around us? How well can we localize the seismicity and is it possible to associate it with active faults? Let us have a look at the Friuli 1976 and Bovec 1998 events! What about the historical 1511 Idrija earthquake? Is a magnitude 7 event in Slovenia or in Friuli possible? Can we estimate the ground shaking for the next damaging event?
You might get some answers, but you will learn, that also in seismology many more questions still remain unanswered.
