Povzetek. A combinatorial map is completely described by a cubic well edge-coloured graph, known as the flag graph of the map. The symmetry type graph of a map is obtained by quotient the flag graph under the action of the automorphism group of the map. This symmetry type graph is used as a tool to classify maps. Applying operations to maps, such as the medial and truncation, the structure of the map is modified. Using the symmetry type graph as a tool, in this talk will be explained how to obtain a possible classification for the truncation maps.
