Povzetek: Recently a group of scientists lead by Roman Jerala designed a stable polypeptide TET12 that self-assembles in the shape of tetrahedron. The purpose of this seminar is to look at possible mathematical models that would help explain this remarkable construction and could be used as a basis for a selection tool in designing stable self-assembling polypeptides of a prescribed polyhedral shape. Some computer experiments will be presented.
