Given a curve as a mirror, the reflecting light rays can have an envelope, called caustic curve of the rays. Another classical problem is to find those points from which a given shape (curve or surface) can be seen under a predefined angle, what is called isoptics of the given shape. We will study caustics and isoptics of free-form curves and surfaces in this talk.
