CONFERENCE 12 April 2017 - Paramount Questions & Issues of Horizon 2020 and the upcoming FP9

On the 12th of April 2017, the Slovenian Business & Research Association (SBRA) will organize a half day (09:00-11:30) conference – alongside University of Ljubljana – on the Paramount Questions and Issues of Horizon 2020 and the upcoming FP9 at the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

The European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Dr. Carlos Moedas has been invited to be the keynote speaker (or relevant representative from the European Commission). Prof. Ivan Svetlik, the rector of the University of Ljubljana and the co-host of the event will also deliver a keynote speech; as well as Mr. Urban Krajcar, the Director-General from the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

Other speakers will include Prof. Jan Palmowski, the Secretary General from the Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities; Prof. Andreja Kutnar the team leader behind Slovenia’s winning Teaming project InnoRenew (University of Primorska), as well as Dr. Romana Jordan, former MEP and currently responsible for international projects at the Jožef Stefan Institute (Slovenia’s largest European research institute is extremely active in Horizon 2020).

After the presentations, a lively roundtable discussion chaired by Prof. Draško Veselinovič will follow. The roundtable will bring together important people from the field of research, science and innovation.
