The Computational Neuroscience/Biophysics Theory Group at IST Austria is looking for postdoctoral researchers to work on a variety of topics concerning information processing in biological systems. Examples include the study of signaling in cellular and neural networks and in animal swarms. The work involves close collaboration with experimental groups at IST and elsewhere.
The candidates should have a strong background in natural sciences, preferably physics (e.g. statistical, dynamical systems, biophysics), a track record of successful research, and motivation to formulate and pursue research projects with a large degree of independence.
The position can be provided for up to three years at a competitive salary level, and involves no mandatory administrative or teaching duties. The starting dates are flexible.
