Angelo Rosa: Ring polymers, the physics of crumpling and chromosome territories

In this talk, I will discuss the physical properties of unknotted and nonconcatenated ring polymers in entangled solutions and melt, and present current understanding of these systems based on state-of-the art polymer theory and computer simulations. In particular, I will stress on the intimate connection between ring polymers and chromosome folding inside cell nuclei in eukaryotes.
