Andrej Kolar-Požun: Discretisation of 2D domains, bounded by NURBS curves
In practice 2D domains are often given by describing their boundary curve - a Jordan curve and commonly a (possibly multipatch) Non Uniform Rational B-Spline curve (NURBS). Common applicatons such as integrating over these domains or solving PDEs on them with meshless methods requires us to discretise them. In this seminar we will first repeat this motivation in sligthly more detail. Afterwards, the main part of the seminar will focus on presenting two algorithms to perform this discretisaton. Some familiarity with NURBS curves would be beneficial but won't be required for understanding the main ideas in the seminar.
