CASP - Critical Assessment of Techniques for Protein Structure Prediction, is a competition repeated every two years, where scientific groups compete at protein structure prediction. In the 14th edition of the competition (2020) there was an enormous jump due to the application of deep learning techniques. The winner of the competition, AlphaFold, changed how scientists perform protein science. For this achievement AlphaFold leaders obtained the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. But are their predictions correct from the topological point of view? Which knots can be found in AI hallucinations?
