From Dark Matter to Earth's Atmosphere

This talk will cover two different topics that reflect my career path. We will start in space, where I will discuss the role of dark mater in galaxy evolution. I will focus on dynamical modeling of halo tracers and the unique constraints they enable on the large scale mass distribution. In my work I used globular clusters around external galaxies as potenital tracers to constrain both the radial distribution of mass and shapes of dark matter haloes. The method of discrete dynamical modeling intersects with research topics of other members of the dynamics group at the university of Vienna. I will highlight some of our novel results and the various research questions studied. Lastly, I will present my recent transition to climate studies and energy meterology, highlighting the versitility of physics education.
