Gravitational wave astronomy was born ten years ago. Since this milestone, progress in the detectors has advanced this new field. The seminar will give an update on instruments and observations, and will review the science that is made possible by a growing sample of detected sources, including some exceptional events, at the crossroads of fundamental physics, astrophysics and cosmology.
