Title: Holomorphic extension from CR manifolds and hypoellipticity.

Abstract: The problem to understand the geometry of those CR manifolds in a complex space for which all CR functions admit holomorphic extension to an ambient neighborhood has remained far from a satisfying understanding since the beginning of CR geometry. Very recently, it was proved by Mauro Nacinovich and the speaker that local extension is valid if and only if CR distributions are smooth near the reference point (of course, one direction is trivial). This gives a link from the extension problem to better understood regularity questions. In the talk, I will explain the proof and discuss applications to CR manifolds satisfying a higher-order concavity condition.
