Hydrogen economy – where are we today?
Povzetek / Abstract:
One of key challenges in transition to carbon-neutral society is the replacement of hydrocarbon-based fuels for motorized vehicles with a better alternative. In past decades, two technologies have been most prominent – batteries and fuel cells running on hydrogen. Each of these technologies has advantages and shortcomings. Currently, the batteries are leading the race but we have not seen the last of hydrogen yet.
The seminar will consist of two parts. First, I will present an overview of transition to electric mobility and hydrogen economy and the current state of the art. In the second part, I will focus on studies of hydrogen-storage materials by means of nuclear magnetic resonance.
