Postdoc position at INAF-IAPS on “Characterisation of solar-like stars and study of their interaction with hosted exoplanets"

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to announce a one-year post-doc position at INAF-IAPS in Rome (Italy) entitled “Characterization of solar-like stars and study of their interaction with hosted exoplanets". The successful candidate will closely work with M.P. Di Mauro and with the INAF team of Asteroseismology, directly involved within KASC (Kepler Asteroseismic Science Consortium), TASC (Tess Asteroseismic Science Consortium), and the stellar physics team of the ESA-PLATO mission. A financial budget will be available for participation in conferences and meetings relevant to the project's aims. Candidates should have experience in Stellar/Solar Physics and expertise in Asteroseismology and/or exoplanetary science. The postdoc researcher will contribute to the project by carrying out at least one of the following activities:

analysis of oscillations data provided by photometric space missions Kepler/K2 and TESS; characterization of solar-like stars by using evolutionary stellar models and asteroseismic techniques study of the star-planet interaction and the magnetic and/or gravitational effects on the exoplanet surfaces. Investigation of the habitability conditions.
