Abstract: In this talk we introduce the language of monoids in order to describe the class of relatively big projective modules over a given ring as a submonoid of the monoid of projective modules. Relatively big projective modules are countably generated projective modules which are liftings of finitely generated projective modules modulo a trace ideal. The interest is to study the cases where every countably generated projective module is relatively big. This is a joint work with Dolors Herbera and Pavel Příhoda.

The talk will be both live (Room 3.07, J21) and streamed via Zoom.
