Red Secrets of the Early Universe: The Enigmatic Nature of Little Red Dots
Roberta Tripodi
INAF - Osservatorio Astronomico di Roma, Italija
Over the past three years, JWST has revealed a new and complex population of compact, red sources at high redshift - the so-called `Little Red Dots' (LRDs). These objects, identified across multiple Cycle 1--3 programs (CEERS, JADES, PRIMER, UNCOVER, NGDEEP, CANUCS, RUBIES), challenge our understanding of the earliest phases of black hole and galaxy assembly. In this talk, I will review key results from the first three years of JWST observations of LRDs, and discuss the implications for their interpretations as star-forming galaxies or obscured AGNs. In this context, I will highlight the results found by the Extragalactic group at FMF.
