Abstract: The order complex of a poset is a simplicial complex that encodes useful information about the combinatorics of the partial order. I'll begin by presenting some of the basics of this theory. I'll then look specifically at results on posets and lattices defined on a finite group, such as the subgroup lattice or coset lattice.
