Enrolment in year 2.
Attended courses Introduction to meteorology and Meteorological observations and instruments, or equivalent.
Work at operational measurements e.g. at Met. Service, collaboration in calibrations of instruments, at data management and archiving, learning the functioning of the operational weather service and related
services for the public.

To obtain practical knowledge on meteorological observations and instruments (or. eventually seismological or some other measurements), on data management and on the operational production process of meteorological products at the Environmental
Agency of Slovenia
Knowledge and understanding:
Basic knowledge on measurements and observations in meteorology, seismology, geophysics. For deeper knowledge is essential some knowledge on meteorology and geophysics.
Application:
A knowledge gained serves student to be aware of special conditions for outdoor measurements.
Reflection:
Transfer of general principles of measurements
and data management to particular cases.
Transferable skills:
general principles of metrology and physical measurements.
Partly in scope of courses (e.g. Meteorological observations and measurements), partly with practical work (at least one week) - if possible at Environmental Agency.
Student completes the duties and obtains 3 ECTS after working practically in one of the appropriate observatories or laboratories, after presenting his achievements gained in that observatory in a written form, together with a positive reference, signed by the his/her adviser in that observatory.
