Objectives: Upgrade of high-school knowledge of general chemistry, understanding of basic chemical-physical systems and development of abilities of their quantitative treatment.
Competences: Knowledge of main topics in general chemistry, basic recognition of properties, reactivity and reactions of elements and their compounds, quantitative treatment of basic chemical-physical systems, ability of searching additional information in professional literature and on internet.
Knowledge and understanding: Knowledge of connectivity between the atomic/molecular structure of matter and its properties and chemical reactivity.
Application: Quantitative evaluation and calculations in basic chemical-physical systems.
Reflection: Understanding of chemical processes in nature and technology.
Interpretation of chemical experiments, use of chemical literature and websites.
Lectures and seminars.
Oral examination (can be performed as a written test)
