Electronics II
Digital electronics:
logic gates, logic functions, simplification,
propagation of signals in logic circuit, timing diagrams,
memory cells and their use,
control and execution part of a digital circuit, the generation of control signals,
synchronous state machines,
the model of a central processing unit,
between the analog and digital: AD and DA conversion.
Linear electronics:
fundamentals of electronic regulation, feedback, proportional, differential and integral regulation,
noise, description and evaluation, the analysis of noise in electronic circuits, optimization of noise.

Objectives:
familiarization with building blocks of digital electronics, digital electronic circuits and analysis, AD and DA converters,
familiarization with basics of regulation,
familiarization with noise in electronics.
Competences:
the use and analysis of digital electronic circuits,
an overview of regulation principles,
the understanding of problems connected with noise,
the design of digital electronic circuits.
Knowledge and understanding:
Familiarity with building blocks of digital electronics and their analysis, basics of regulation techniques, familiarity with basic properties of noise in electronics. The understanding of operation of digital electronic circuits and systems, the understanding of properties of a regulation system, the understanding of influences of noise in electronic circuits and optimization.
Application:
The knowledge gained allows an understanding of operation for digital electronic circuits and poses an essential step towards the understanding of operations in microprocessor and computer. The chapters on regulation and noise allow a rational selection of electronic components and circuits in view of the overall system quality.
Reflection:
Since most of the contemporary signal processing is digital an understanding of basic building blocks which constitute, among others, computers, is essential. The knowledge on basics of regulation techniques allows the control of bigger systems.
Transferable skills:
The knowledge gained allows for understanding of operations in computer, digital signal processing, and computer interfaces in other courses.
