Project description:

The project investigates the far-from-equilibrium dynamics of quantum matter in one and two dimensions, addressing one of the most significant challenges in modern physics. By modeling these dynamics through local quantum circuits, the research employs innovative analytical and numerical approaches to explore novel dynamical phases and phenomena unique to multi-dimensional systems. This knowledge will not only deepen our fundamental understanding of quantum matter but also provide vital benchmarks for testing the performance of quantum computers on tasks that remain intractable for classical systems.
