Project description:
ERC project OMNES has been a great success. Most of the research objectives which were characterised by high-risk/high-gain (by ERC panel) were at least partially achieved. Quite a few results stemming from OMNES have been considered as scientific breakthroughs. Prosen and collaborators have derived and established whole new platforms of out-of-equilibrium many-body systems. In the ERC New Horizons project eOMNES we shall continue with the research along the most fruitful and relevant research directions opened within OMNES. Special emphasis shall be given on exact and analytical solutions, and on dynamical many-body systems in two spatial dimensions. The latter have been somewhat neglected in mathematical physics research, however, recent experimental platforms for quantum simulations (e.g. Google Quantum AI) should give a big boost.
