Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miha Ravnik (FMF): Complex soft and partially ordered matter

In this lecture I will present selected results of scientific work in the broader field of complex soft and partially ordered matter. The results include topics from liquid crystal colloids and structures, soft matter photonics, fluidics of active and passive complex fluids, and protein aggregation. Physical mechanisms discussed will combine the roles of material anisotropy, topology, confinement and geometry, activity, light coupling, and the flow of light. The works are results of work with the home Group for the Physics of Soft Matter at UL FMF and the cooperation with a multiple domestic and foreign experimental and theoretical groups.
