Symbolic Summation and its Application in Particle Physics

Povzetek: We illustrate how the summation paradigms of telescoping, Zeilberger's creative telescoping and recurrence solving in the context of differencefields can be used to simplify multi-sums. The talk will be supplemented bymulti-sum problems arising from number theory and particle physics. Special emphasis is put on new evaluations of 2-- and 3--loop massive single scale Feynman integrals with operator insertion arising in a cooperation with Johannes Bluemlein (DESY--Zeuthen; Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron).
