Swiss interim solution for Erasmus+ - Call 2016

Dear colleagues, 

As from February 2014, negotiations on Swiss participation in the European education programme ‘Erasmus+' were suspended, Switzerland still has the status of a third country or ‘partner country' in the Erasmus+ Call for proposals 2016.

Therefore the Swiss National Agency has just launched the third round of the Swiss interim solution for Erasmus+ and I am pleased to inform you about the details of the 2016 "Swiss Call".

We have about 15.5 million EUR at disposition for Higher Education and we will be able to continue funding student mobility (study periods and traineeships) as well as staff mobility (teaching and training periods) for both outgoings and incomings.

As we had many questions concerning traineeships in Switzerland: in order to be eligible for funding, students have to apply at a Swiss HEI (usually a partner institution of the student's home institution) even if the traineeship will take place at an enterprise or another organisation. However, it is the Swiss HEI in question that makes the grant award decision - according to their resources and priorities.

 

For Strategic Partnerships and Knowledge Alliances: Swiss HEI or organisation can participate in two ways: either as full partners in the framework of Erasmus+ under the condition that they bring an added value to the project (and on top of the minimum number of partners from programme countries) or within the framework of the Swiss interim solution for Erasmus+ (as associated partner and apply for national funding).
