AVL-AST, d. o. o., is the Slovenian affiliate of AVL List GmbH company. AVL is
the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation
and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine,
transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control
technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large
engines and their integration into the vehicle.
We are looking for talented students with a background in mechanical
engineering, mechatronics, physics, electrical engineering or
mathematics to perform the tasks of a System Simulation Engineer of Fuel Cell Powered Vehicle.
Location: Ljubljana (Verovškova ulica 55), Slovenia
Department: Multi-physics Systems Analysis
Fields of work:
- Setting up fuel cell (FC) powered vehicle simulation models with the simulation tool developed by AVL
- Designing advanced technology solutions for FC systems by means of simulation tools
- Validating and documenting the performance of prototype simulation modules
- Developing and validating control functions of FC vehicle model including the balance of plant (BoP)
- Developing methodologies for ease and fast concept design of FC vehicle
- Developing methodologies for the entire FC vehicle system optimization
- Introducing new approaches to development processes, e.g. from the field of artificial intelligence
- Finished at least the second year of Bachelor’s Study of: mechanical engineering / physics / mathematics / electrical engineering / computing / mechatronics
- Basic knowledge in programming (C or C ++ or Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with Matlab, Mathematica or similar tools
- The ability to work independently, systematically, in a team
- Fluent English and willingness for an international cooperation
- Good communication skills and precise, reliable, pro-active personality
