we would like to share the following anouncement, as it might be interesting for some of you.
Announcement – Avscon 2026
Avscon – A Very Short Course On… returns in April 2026! Following the success of Avscon 25, this online mini-course series continues its tradition of offering concise introductions to diverse areas of modern mathematics. Each summer semester, up to four independent short courses provide accessible entry points into current research topics—no prior attendance required.
Lectures are held online via the OPAL platform.
Speakers and Courses for 2026:
- Ralph Chill (TU Dresden): Nonlinear evolution equations governed by accretive operators
- Uta Freiberg (TU Chemnitz): Laplace Operators on Fractals
- Paula Kahl (TU Bergakademie Freiberg): Thompson’s group F
- Philipp Reiter (TU Chemnitz): Elastic rods and impermeability
Ralph Chill’s course also serves as a teaser for the upcoming Internetseminar 2026–2027.
