  1. Vrstični elektronski mikroskop (SEM) in x-žarkovna mikroanaliza: SEM in načini delovanja; interakcija med elektronskim žarkom in snovjo; nastanek slike; generacija x-žarkov v vzorcu pri SEM; x-žarkovne spektralne meritve: EDS in WDS; kvalitativna x-žarkovna analiza; kvantitativna x-žarkovna analiza.
  2. Presevni (transmisijski) elektronski mikroskop (TEM): transmisijski elektronski mikroskop; sipanje in uklon; TEM aparatura; uklonske slike; recipročni prostor; uklon na kristalih; slikanje s TEM.
  3. Superprevodna kvantna interferenčna naprava (SQUID): superprevodnost; Meissnerjev pojav; Londonova teorija; urejanje momenta; valovna funkcija momentno-urejenega superprevodnega stanja; mehanizem superprevodnosti – Fröhlichova teorija; formacija Cooperjevega para; superprevodno osnovno stanje in vzbujena stanja v BCS teoriji; kvantizacija magnetnega pretoka skozi superprevodni obroč; kritični tok v superprevodniku; Josephsonov pojav; SQUID magnetometer; princip delovanja DC SQUID sistema.

Cilji in kompetence

Cilji:
Študent spozna moderne eksperimentalne metode za raziskave fizike snovi.
Predmetno specifične kompetence: Poznavanje in razumevanje metod za meritve fizikalnih lastnosti snovi; povezava merskih podatkov s fizikalnimi lastnostmi snovi.

Predvideni študijski rezultati

Znanje in razumevanje:
Pridobitev znanja in razumevanja eksperimentalnih merskih metod za raziskave snovi.

Uporaba:
Sposobnost dela z različnimi tipi eksperimentalnih aparatur v laboratorijih.

Refleksija
Kritično ovrednotenje eksperimentalnih merskih podatkov, njihove natančnosti in zanesljivosti.

Prenosljive spretnosti - niso vezane le na en predmet
Sposobnost dela na kompleksnih aparaturah, zajemanja podatkov ter analize. Sposobnost določanja natančnosti meritve.

Načini ocenjevanja

Pisni ali ustni izpit.
(ocene: 5 (negativno), 6-10 (pozitivno), ob upoštevanju Statuta UL)
