EIC in HORIZON EUROPE virtual launch event

The European Commission is hosting a virtual launch event to mark the start of the European Innovation Council (EIC) in Horizon Europe on 18-19 March 2021. The €10 billion part of the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation will focus on identifying, developing and implementing breakthrough, disruptive and technology-driven innovations. The EIC also aims to help innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enter the market and to grow rapidly (scale-up).

During the opening ceremony 18 March it is planned to present the work programme with the first calls for proposals. The second day of the event will be an information day for potential applicants, where the different funding instruments of the EIC will be presented and details of the application and funding process as well as the role of investors will be explained. The event will be streamed via the EUScienceInnov YouTube channel and no registration is required.
