Invitation of China's International Talented Young Scientist Program

TYSP is an international mobility scheme funded by the Chinese government, it supports to cultivate future leading scientists with countries along “The Belt and Road”. TYSP promotes cross-border exchange of excellent young scientists, scholars and researchers. TYSP also enhances cooperation among research institutes, universities and enterprises. TYSP offers sponsorship (12,500RMB/month for special expenses including international transportation, housing allowance, living allowance, medical and personal safety insurance in China) for talented young scientists from countries along “The Belt and Road" to work in China on a full-time basis together with Chinese team for 6 or 12 months (see Annex 1 for more information of project details). It is very important to mention that the applications for the project are made through the Chinese recruiting unit issuing the job requirements and the foreign young scientists applying for the positions themselves.

Our job requirements are as follows. Position: China-CEEC Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Policy Researcher For particularly OUTSTANDING talented young scientists, we can provide an additional round-trip international air ticket (economy class) Research Field: Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Organization: CEEC Institute, Ningbo University of Technology Location: Ningbo, Zhejiang, China Working period: 6 months or 12 months Description of the organization:
CEEC Institute, Ningbo University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute"), founded in September 2020, grows out of China’s first Central and Eastern European Talent Initiative which was jointly established by Ningbo Bureau of Foreign Expert Services and Ningbo University of Technology in 2017. The Institute is currently staffed with 14 full-time employees.

Under the guidance of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and People’s Government of Ningbo Municipality, the Institute’s main activities focus on (1) drawing the Innovative Ecological Digital Map of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) (2) constructing China-CEEC Think Tank for Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation (3) promoting China-CEEC transfer of scientific and technological achievements (4) providing services for China-CEEC cooperation and exchanges in science, technology and innovation.

In the future, with priority given to China, the 17 countries in CEE and their neighboring countries, the Institute will focus on the exchange and cooperation of talents and intelligence between China and CEEC. Integrating incubation, investment and financing and other functions, it will grow to be a service-oriented Institute with a brand new ecological chain based on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In this way, the Institute aims to become the main channel for the two-way flow of elements, including industries, technologies, and talents, and serve as an important supporting point of the China-CEEC community of interest.

Responsibilities and description of the position:
1.Engaging in research on science and technology innovation cooperation policies, industrial cooperation and talent cooperation in China-CEEC. 2.Assisting the CEEC Institute in the expansion of science and technology cooperation networks and science and technology innovation cooperation in CEEC. 3.Assisting in the construction of Innovative Ecological Digital Map of China-CEEC. 4.Carrying out the technology transfer between China-CEEC and Serving China-CEEC industrial cooperation. Requirements for applicants: 1.Have formal employment in home country and be engaged in scientific research or science and technology policy research. 2.Have a PhD degree or at least 5 years of experience in scientific research. 3.Be under 45 years of age (45 included). 4.Have good communication skills in English or Chinese. 5.Be able to work in China on a full-time basis. 6.Adapt to the environment as soon as possible and comply with Chinese laws and regulations. 7.Give priority to one who have experience in international scientific and technological cooperation.

If the application is not successful, it fails.

In addition, after the project is completed, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China will evaluate the project and issue a Certification of TYSP to the foreign expert.
